Irish Pub Cheese Dip

Irish Pub Cheese Dip

Ingredients:

A fabulous snack for St.Patrick’s Day!  Irish Pub Cheese Dip made with Lakeside Farmstead Cheese is smooth and bold in flavour.  This recipe uses a combination of Alberta Buttercheese & Cheddar, but you can use all Cheddar if you prefer a bolder cheddar flavour.  It’s perfect to spread on crackers or a crudité dip.

114g Lakeside Farmstead Fromage Blanc
200g
Lakeside Farmstead Cheddar, shredded
200g Lakeside Farmstead Alberta Buttercheese, shredded
½ Cup Irish Lager (I used Harp)
1 clove Garlic, crushed
1 ½ tsp Ground Mustard Powder
1 tsp Paprika

Method:

1.       Shred the Cheddar and Alberta Buttercheeses.

2.       Place the shredded cheeses into the bowl of a food processor along with the Fromage Blanc, crushed garlic, mustard powder, and paprika.

3.       Blend the cheese mixture until it’s fairly smooth.  Scrape down the sides as needed.

4.       While the food processor is running, slowly pour the Irish Lager into the mixture to reach the desired consistency.  For a thicker spread, use less lager, for a thinner dip use more lager.

5.       Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl and enjoy!
